WCF & Associates was formed in 1982 by William C. Farmer. After 15 years in the computing business Bill realized that there was a need for companies that could provide computer system support, software programming, and hardware configurations for firms that could not justify the cost of a full time, in-house IT staff.

Bill also understood that it is impossible for any one person to be an expert in all fields related to computers. Over the years since 1982, WCF & Associates has created a network of systems engineers, technicians and programmers with experience in business and industrial automation applications, including MRP and ERP implementations, networking and internetworking. This network allows the pooling of knowledge and experience to help support the needs of the clients of WCF and Associates, Inc.

We have a significant software development capability including Windows, Unix, HP Alphas and VAX’s on a Local Area Network (LAN) with extensions to several clients and associates and an extensive presence on the Internet. The development environment is a 24x7x365 operation, just like yours is.

When WCF & Associates was formed, the primary focus of the business was in the field of Digital Equipment hardware, software, client/server architecture and related services. WCF still supports HP Open VMS, HP Tru64 UNIX and Microsoft NT/2000 Servers and networks. WCF & Associates has also maintained it's status as a VAR for OpenVMS systems products and services through the Digital Equipment and Compaq era's and now under the HP banner. WCF & Associates staff includes Accredited System Engineers, System Administrators and Platform Integrators for HP OpenVMS, as well as Accredited System Engineers for HP Tru64 Unix and WindowsNT/2000. 

 Recently, in addition to our consulting services we have added storage management services structured to provide a continuous upgrade path to the newest data storage technology on a pay as you grow basis that minimizes large capital expenditures and expenses more of the cost of keeping your technology current. We have completed our Enterprise Disaster Recovery facility and added network based data backup/recovery services aimed at medium and smaller businesses as well.
