There was a lot of e-mail
flying back and forth regarding Kelly's pendant.
From the flower on the front to the gold trim around the border,
everyone was asking - - Please, Please how did you do that?
Kelly kindly responded to my request on how she did the gold border.
It's a trick of the eye. What that is, is one of Eberhard Faber's findings. It's a pin blank. On the side where the flower is, there is a "deep" trough for putting clay or whatever, in. On the REVERSE, there is a barely-indented area corresponding to the shape of the other side) where the pin back was (made that way so the pin would lay closer to the wearer). I simply popped the pin back off and put a layer of clay identical to the front, on the back, so it looked like one piece of polyclay "wrapped" with a gold band. In reality it is a clay/finding/clay sandwich. You can do it, also, with large cabochon pendant findings if you are careful and creative.
